About Chuck Sullivan Homes
Company founder Chuck Sullivan has worked in the local home building business for over 30 years. A lifelong resident of Montgomery County, he attended Winston Churchill HS and graduated from the University of Maryland. He worked with Porten-Sullivan Corporation as Director of Operations and Classic Community Corporation as Vice President of Land Development. During these 25 years of experience Chuck was responsible for all aspects of homebuilding, including: feasibility studies, land development, architectural design, project management, and customer service. In 2002, he demolished his own house and built a new home; he has been through the process and understands how it impacts your daily life. In 2004, Chuck started his own company specializing in building homes in established neighborhoods.
Chuck Sullivan Homes is active in the Maryland National Capitol Building Industry Association and is currently involved in the Custom Home Builders Council and the Montgomery County Builder's Association. Throughout his career, Chuck has chaired several committees, spoken at seminars, and received numerous awards from the Montgomery County Council, Maryland National & Planning Commission, Historic Preservation, and the Department of Public Works & Transportation. Chuck Sullivan lives with his family in Bethesda, MD. He volunteers his time with community organizations, coaches youth sports, and is a percussionist with various musical ensembles. Chuck is also the co-founder of BandHouse Gigs, producing musical tributes at venues such as Strathmore Concert Hall and Wolf Trap. BandHouse Gigs is a not-for-profit entity that makes regular contributions to Hungry for Music, a charity that provides musical instruments for underprivileged children.
Chuck Sullivan Homes has won the Custom Builder Award of Excellence for every home we have built. We have won in almost every category: custom, speculative, traditional, contemporary, and transitional architectural styles. We are grateful for this acknowledgment by our peers in the building industry and especially proud that we have demonstrated our quality and versatility.
The Maryland Building Industry Association includes thousands of local building industry professionals. Each year they sponsor a competition entitled the Custom Builder Award of Excellence. Entries are evaluated by a panel of judges on site design, neighborhood compatibility, quality of workmanship, sensitivity to the environment, and architectural features. The judges evaluate hundreds of homes located in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. The following is a list of awards received by Chuck Sullivan Homes.
